Consult is a registered authorised Financial Service Provider (FSP), holding a FSCA Category FSP I and II license.

Consult dispenses financial planning, product advice, product execution and investments management services to individuals and businesses in the high net worth, affluent, retail upper and small business enterprises (SME's) market.


Consult, being an authorized FSP, is able to offer our clients product solutions of all of the major life, health, saving, investments, short term and employee benefits providers in South Africa.

We have contracts with 122 product providers in total.


Consult is one of South Africa's largest and most respected financial planning and advice specialists with a national footprint of 280 financial advisers, including 50 specialist short term advisers, spanning across South Africa.

Role Purpose


As a true partner to the business, the Marketing Manager will manage the Consult Marketing function to craft and drive innovative brand marketing and communication campaigns that will increase brand awareness and support advisers with tools to help them on their clients' financial journey.

The efforts of the Marketing Manager will assist the sustainability of the Consult Brand; and play a consultative role to support the Consult team as well as the adviser franchise community.


Requirements:


Experience and Qualifications:


  • Degree in Marketing, Business Management or Behavioural Sciences
  • 5 years brand and marketing experience within the industry and financial services and financial advisory industry
  • Competence in digital marketing(including social media) implementation, and corporate communication is requireed
  • Experience in and knowledge of client experience (CX) would be an advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities

Role responsibilities:

**Develop and drive effective and innovative brand marketing

  • Operationalise the marketing and brand strategy through design, implementation, support, and measuring initiatives, based on established objectives.
  • Engage, monitor, influence, and work closely with all stakeholders in Consult to deliver high quality marketing initiatives.
  • Drive the development of integrated marketing strategies and campaigns that maximizes the effectiveness of the sales force and business development activities.
  • Evaluate and monitor competitive marketing products, services and activities and channel these insights into the optimization of Consult's marketing initiatives.
  • Provide input into all supporting media strategies, to maximize the impact of the intended campaign (for the targeted segment market applicable).
  • Drive innovation within the Momentum Consult marketing and brand function.
  • Conceptualize and execute marketing creative. Work with the creative agencies to conceptualise and execute campaigns to capture the target audience. Brainstomr and work with internal resources to execute new marketing ideas.
  • Partner and interact with vendors to supply materials supporting marketing concepts.
  • Effectively deliver marketing messaging to target audiences, including mobile, video, social etc. including creating videos in the inhouse studio or via innovative online tools.
  • Drive the development and measurement of marketing metrics that provide insights and enable effective decision making around revenue growth, market share, marketing intelligence and profitability.
  • Establish mechanisms to build relationships with existing and prospective clients, intermediaries, shareholders, industry bodies and the community.
  • Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals.
  • Partner and interact with vendors to supply materials supporting marketing concept.
  • Manage digital channels for social media and owned channels i.e. Consult's website.
  • Budget management & find ways to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency. Include budget reporting and tracking in metrics.
**Drive a client centric environment that focuses on best practice service delivery (Client Services)

  • Build and maintain relationships with advisers as well as internal stakeholders that promote cross delivery practice solutions.
  • Contribute to sustaining a competitive edge through external networking and benchmarking and representation on related forums, like the broader Momentum Metropolitan Marketing community.
  • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to identify changing client (adviser) needs and align service offering with client needs.
  • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programmes from start to finish, driving
