Degree or diploma in financial accounting Minimum of 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper Knowledge of South African accounting standards and regulations Proficient in Microsoft Office with a thorough understanding of MS Excel at a Basic to Intermediate level Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent administrative and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good written and verbal communication skills in English French or Portuguese as additional language an advantage, but not a necessity Responsibilities Processing transactions for suppliers ledger Supplier reconciliations and discrepancy resolution Executing timely and accurate supplier payment Issue customer invoices Follow up on customer outstanding accounts Customer queries resolution Processing all transactions for the cashbooks.

Administration of petty cash Bank Reconciliations and discrepancy resolution Maintaining the fixed asset registry VAT reconciliation and submissions. Assist with month end reporting for management.
