    Sales Manager (Chemicals) Job Description

    Location: This role may be based in either Durban or Johannesburg, South Africa.

    Key Focus Areas:

    • Conduct a thorough analysis of the marketing landscape to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
    • Develop and implement targeted sales and marketing strategies tailored specifically for the South African market.
    • Drive sales growth and meet revenue targets by leveraging industry expertise and market knowledge.

    Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

    • Education: A relevant degree in chemicals is essential.
    • Experience: 5-8 years of proven sales and business development experience in the chemical industry, with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
    • Industry Knowledge: Working experience in the distribution/trading sector is highly valued.
    • Industry Experience: Sales experience in the following chemical manufacturing/trading/distribution industries will be an added advantage: home care; personal care; food & beverages; painting; coatings; packing and foam.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
