    Role Overview

    We're seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team in South Africa. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads, setting up sales meetings, and driving Verto's sales pipeline.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Generate Leads: Actively prospect and identify new business opportunities through research, cold calling, and outreach.
    • Qualify Prospects: Use effective questioning techniques to qualify leads based on their business needs and potential for success with Verto.
    • Book Meetings: Schedule and secure sales meetings for the sales team by engaging with decision-makers in targeted companies.
    • Manage Lead Pipeline: Track and manage leads in the CRM system, ensuring no opportunity slips through the cracks.
    • Collaborate with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on messaging, campaigns, and follow-up strategies.
    • Nurture Relationships: Build rapport with potential clients to create trust and lay the foundation for a successful sales process.

    Requirements:

    • 1-2 years of experience in a sales development, inside sales, or customer service role (experience in B2B or fintech is a plus).
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with potential clients via phone, email, and other channels.
    • Results-driven and motivated by hitting targets and achieving goals.
    • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales prospecting techniques.
    • Ability to quickly learn and understand Verto's product offerings and value propositions.
