Job Advert Summary:


  • Ensure efficient and costeffective distribution of products to customers at the Port Shepstone Distribution;
  • Effectively maintain the branch and its functions with the Distribution manager and team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
  • Business English: Fluent
  • Shifts/Weekend/Public Holidays
  • MS Excel (Advanced)
  • Management Experience

Duties and Responsibilities:


Manage staff

  • Manage KPI's of team members
  • Maintain discipline of the team (Execute company disciplinary procedures)
  • Plan and manage leave
  • Coordinate training and development of subordinates
  • Control and address driver violations as per On Board Computer (OBC) report
  • Servicing and maintenance of vehicles
  • COF of vehicles
  • Logging and recording vehicle breakdowns
Coordinate the distribution process (into the area of responsibility)

  • Ensure optimally utilized routes through nominated delivery days
  • Do daily debriefing of the delivery team
  • Maintain and manage ledger deadlines
  • Investigate rejected Driver claims
  • Control departmental own fixed cost in terms of overtime, running cost, and crates
Manage customer relations

  • Conduct trade visits and submit reports
  • Manage and control customer uplifts
  • Attend to customer queries and complaints
Manage Safety

  • Managing SHEQ audits and reports
  • Manage site and area responsibility in terms of safety
