Our client in the
Retail industry is looking for a
Retail Planner
to join their team based in Cape Town, Constantia**.

Their current retail channels are an e-commerce store, 3 retail spaces and a wholesale offering.


Role Description


The Planner will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers and working closely with the Senior buyer (owner).

Additional responsibilities will include tracking sales, performance metrics etc.


Responsibilities:


Stock Management:


  • Review stock levels regularly to identify any new needs.
  • Place stock orders with suppliers based on demand forecasts and inventory analysis.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and accurate stock replenishment.
  • Ensure product plans meet location plan targets and correct stock allocations meet sales targets

Purchase Order Processing:


  • Generate and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.

Distribution and Channel Planning:


  • Work closely with the team to plan and allocate products to the different channels.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure timely and accurate product distribution.
  • Monitor channel performance and adjust plans as needed to optimize sales.

Document Management:


  • Ensure all documents related to purchases, stock orders, and distribution are correct and properly maintained.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant documents.

Product selection:


  • Work closely with the Buyer assisting with product selection, filling out details on the Buyer's Sheet.
  • Manage the critical path
  • Provide the Buyer with market information: identifying new opportunities, prices and product trends

Experience:


  • A minimum of 35 years of experience in a retail or home furnishing environment, preferably in in buying and planning in a corporate environment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing stock orders, purchase orders, and distribution processes.

Skills:

Drivers license:


  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to make datadriven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using Cin7Core, Dear, and Excel for inventory management and reporting purposes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in document management.
