Warehouse Supervisor Outbound - Cape Town, South Africa - Pack Leader

Description

• To provide a professional, efficient, and effective service to support the general functioning of the business.
• As the Warehouse Supervisor Outbound, your main purpose is to ensure the smooth operation of all Outbound processes including deliveries to customers and to ensure excellence across all departments
• Coordinate with other Supervisors/management and manage warehouse team to ensure efficient interdepartmental operations
• Supervision and management of a team of drivers and assistants
• Health and Safety focused
• Safe and effective product handling and cost management
• Liaise relationships across suppliers and service providers

• Experience in daytoday customer deliveries
• Oversee and Manage Picking of customer orders and allocation for delivery
• Ensure correct documentation accompanies drivers and assistants daily.
• Quality check dispatch orders for accuracy
• Manage and oversee picking, checking, boxing and dispatch of orders daily. Ensuring optimal routing and scheduling is practised, including discerning use of couriers
• Effective routing of vehicles to optimise speed and cost of delivery
• Management and allocation other (adhoc) delivery and collection tasks as required Liaising with the driver team to support efficient deliveries and optimal delivery times
• Tracking of vehicles for reactive as well as proactive management
• Coordinating vehicle activity logging and endofday debriefing
• Coordinating courier activity as an extension of the company's service

• Experienced in and use of Warehouse Management Systems
• One of Main Users for WMS System
• Root Causing, releasing picks, assisting with resolving queries, loading credit notes Assisting with checking orders where necessary
• WMSrelated liaison between Office and Warehouse
• Liaising with transporters, Office & OPS

• Previous experience of Route Optimization software
• Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems
• Strong computer literacy
• Communication skills
