    Description

    Hire Resolve is currently working with a well-established food and beverage company in the Western Cape, which is looking to hire a Planning Specialist. The Planning Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain planning process in the food and beverage industry, ensuring efficient production planning, inventory management, and on-time delivery of products.

    Responsibilities:

    • Delivering key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cover days and service level targets
    • Using SAP PP for master production scheduling and running material requirements planning (MRP)
    • Creating weekly production plans considering productivity and capacity
    • Collaborating with sales, production, and supply chain departments to ensure effective supply and material planning
    • Managing material orders in coordination with Sales, production, and supply chain departments
    • Continuously monitoring production plans, safety stock levels, and MRP parameters
    • Setting up and maintaining PP related master data in the ERP system
    • Conducting material controlling according to production planning and shipping plans
    • Running daily follow-up of raw material, product, and material stocks and entering daily data to the SAP system
    • Participating in forecasting meetings with sales and other departments and leading additional planning meetings
    • Assisting with capacity requirements during the annual operating plan
    • Performing other related duties as required

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field
    • 3+ years of experience in planning, production, or supply chain management within the food and beverage industry
    • Experience in the food and beverage industry is strongly preferred
    • Excellent communication skills in English
    • Professional experience with SAP/R3 PP/PI
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
    • Effective time management and planning skills
    • Rational decision-making, negotiating, and influencing skills
    • Analytical work style
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments
