Description
An exciting Assistant Accountant role has become available within a leading supplier of quality kitchenware. The successful incumbent will provide financial information to management by analysing data, preparing reports, monitoring budgets and cost control.


Responsibilities:


  • Record, verify, consolidate and enter transactions
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and expense analysis for review
  • Assist with internal reporting of financial performance
  • Prepare and evaluate management accounts
  • Assist entity budget preparation
  • Assist with development and maintenance of efficient accounting and internal control systems
  • Assist with preparation of interim and annual financial statements
  • Normal tax preparation and payment
  • VAT and SARS efilling
  • Liaise with foreign customer about order details
  • Record imports into the financial system
  • Reconciliation of all control accounts
  • Closing of cash book, creditors and general ledger at month end

Requirements:


  • SAICA / SAIPA articles or registered with a professional body
