NURSE VACANCY CAPE TOWN
Purpose of the Job:
To draw blood and take samples from patients and prepare samples for testing in a clinical laboratory.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Medical professional qualification as a professional or enrolled nurse
- 3 + years' experience as a nurse.
- Registered with SANC and SAQA
- Knowledge of working with SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures); guidelines and company policies
- Computer literate

- Decisionmaking and problemsolving ability
Role of a nurse:
- Following all Health and Safety protocols, procedures and SOP's to maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment.
- Verify patient's information and labelling of blood and human specimens.
- Preparing and re-assuring patients prior to taking samples for testing.
- Taking blood and other samples.
- Ability to do special tests such as DNA, Glucose tolerance tests, etc.
- Handling of waste disposal as per SOP.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cape Town,
Western Cape:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
License/Certification:
- Nursing Council registration (required)
Willingness to travel:
- 25% (preferred)
