- Manage and perform weekly stock takes.

- Ensure weekly deadlines are met and entries are accurately and timeously captured in the general ledger.
- Assist with the compilation of monthly management accounts.
- Preparation of weekly reports.
- Assist with timely preparation and submissions of VAT, PAYE calculations, reconciliations and payments.
- Assist with maintenance of fixed asset register.
- Assist with preparation of supporting schedules for audit and address audit queries.
- Providing support to the accounting department.
- Accounting-related filing.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Financial Manager.
- Certificate, Diploma, Degree or similar qualification in accounting or bookkeeping will be an advantage.
- 3+ years' bookkeeping and accounting experience.
- ERP Accounting system experience a benefit. Netsuite, Pastel, Sage or similar accounting system experience.
- Microsoft Excel – intermediate to advanced level.
- Computer literate - good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
- Aptitude in working with figures is essential.
- R240,000 to R360,000 pa, depending on experience.

Large and successful privately-owned group specializing in the design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and servicing of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems and equipment for the supermarket, food, petro-chemical, and agricultural industries is seeking to recruit and appoint a Junior Accountant to their offices, based in Cape Town.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years bookkeeping and accounting experience and a diploma, certificate or degree in accounting will be an advantage. SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA article experience will also be an advantage, and knowledge or experience with inventory will be a nice to have, though not a must have requirement. Industry experience in manufacturing, production, engineering or related will be seen as positive.
