    Description

    Express Employment Professionals (Witbank) is seeking a skilled and experienced Production Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance, operation, and improvement of plant equipment and systems in a chrome plant environment.

    Estimated Salary: R 950,000 - R 1,200,000 per annum.

    Job Description:

    We are looking for an individual who can develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal plant performance. The ideal candidate will carry out routine maintenance and inspections of equipment, oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise, and develop and implement improvement projects to increase plant efficiency and productivity.

    The selected candidate will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior engineers and technicians, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and contributing to the overall success of the plant operation.

    Requirements:

    • National Diploma/B.Eng Degree/BTech Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related fields
    • GCC Mines and Works qualification
    • Post Graduate Diploma (advantageous)
    • 5-10 years of working experience in a chrome plant environment
    • 2-5 years of Plant Engineering experience within the Plant Industry (Post GCC)

    Additionally, the ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of plant equipment and maintenance practices, familiarity with Mine Health and Safety Act and Mining Regulations, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent communication and leadership abilities.
