Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:
The Reception Manager is responsible for the overall management of the reception area and reception staff.
The incumbent is also responsible for the courteous, helpful, accurate and timeous admission and discharge of patients, as well as creating and maintaining a good working relationship with doctors, nursing staff and other stakeholders in the Hospital.
Ensure reception staff admit patients in a professional, courteous and accurate mannerEnsure that deposits and surcharges are collected from patients prior to admission, where risk is identified
Liaision with doctors regarding Theatre List and diagnosis
Liaise with nursing staff regarding bed availability
Ensure reception staff discharge patients in a professional, courteous and accurate manner
Ensure staff collect outstanding monies due by private patients
Ensure accurate SAP procedure at all time
Ongoing staff training and development including customer care
Introduce ongoing Quality Improvement Programmes
Liaise with Hospital Management regarding "special" patient arrangements
Do the banking of Reception, and ensure accuracy on drop register
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
Related Tertiary Qualification highly preferable
5 Years experience in a customer focused environment
Hospital Reception Management highly preferable
SAP working experience highly preferable
