    General Manager: Centurion Distribution Centre

    Clicks Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics General Manager to lead our Centurion Distribution Centre, our largest DC which houses the National Singles DC.

    The purpose of this role is to support and enable growth in the inland region, through leading and improving the logistics capability and network with a relentless focus on customer service, financial and operational efficiency.

    Key Objectives:

    • Drive business opportunities to gain competitive advantage and result in profit growth
    • Achieve full profit and loss accountability and lead the team in delivering the financial performance
    • Foster customer service excellence by delivering on time, in full and within quality specification, as per operational KPI's and surveys
    • Build relationships with various stakeholders through cross-functional collaboration to enhance business interest
    • Enable a responsive network that supports an integrated supply chain approach through a balanced trade-off between availability, cost and stock
    • Ridiculously focus on efficiency and continuous improvement within area of control and area of influence that improves operational execution and manages risk
    • Optimise the cost base through the application of sound and effective financial and operational management principles
    • Mitigate risks related to people safety, stock and assets by adhering to relevant legislative requirements
    • Foster competence, capacity and diversity through effective development of people and teams
    • Ensure all health and safety standards are in place and all audit requirements are complied with
    • Ensure that shrinkage and wastage targets are achieved in order to meet the financial targets

    Requirements:

    • Warehouse Management Systems knowledge;
    • ERP;
    • SAP;
    • Understanding of SHEQ and COIDA application;
    • IR knowledge and Human Resources;
    • Transport contract management;
    • People Management;

    Experience:

    • 3 to 5 years of Logistics/Operations management at a senior level;
    • Has managed a large site – circa 44 000 m²;
    • Operational logistics experience of at least 3 additional years;
    • People management experience in a unionised environment;
    • An appropriate Degree, Diploma or equivalent of NQF6 Education;
    • Leading and Supervising;
    • Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations;
