Requirements:


  • A relevant National Diploma or Higher
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience in
Telecommunications Networks

  • Networking and knowledge of Monitoring/Event/Fault/
  • Experience in troubleshooting routing and switching issues
and in leading a vendor or in-house Telecommunication

teams would be an advantage

  • A networking certification an added advantage
Key Performance Areas

  • Undertakes and lead technical activities within the Operations
routing and switching networks

  • Provide quality supervision and control of maintenance and
repairs of the City's of all Broadband Networks, switching and

routing

  • Ensure asbuilt information is submitted accordingly for
update; ensure compliance with SOPs, policies and guidelines,

provide feedback to management

  • Design interpreting reviews and interpret drawings/plans
specifying changes in records or as-built information

  • Coordinate the daytoday activities routing and switching
networks elements maintenance as well as contractors involved

in the supply and update of information in order to fulfil delivery

commitments of the section

  • Provide support to project management and operations
management as required to ensure commitments are met

by City vendors

  • Maintain effective communication with stake holders
