    Compliance Specialist Financial Services

    Location: La Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal

    This position will give preference to BBBEE candidates due to BEE requirements.

    A reputable financial services group has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Specialist.

    Position Overview:

    The Compliance Specialist is responsible for assisting in developing and implementing procedures to ensurecompliance with regulations/legislation affecting the business of the Group and advising internal businessunits on how to meet compliance requirements .

    The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for leading the regulatorycomplaints management by developing and implementing a framework aligned with the TCF principles.

    Additionally, the one will be tasked with ensuring business units stay informed on changes to all applicable lawsand regulations monitored by Group Compliance and assists and supports the Senior Compliance Manager as and when required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Developing, implementing, and managing group compliance program.
    • Relationship with the relevant regulatory bodies.
    • Creating and coordinating proper reporting channels for compliance issues.
    • Training and awareness (coordinating and scheduling required compliance training for staff).

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Completed Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
    • Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
    • A minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in Regulatory Complaints Management and General RegulatoryCompliance within the Financial Services Sector (Home Loans and other Short Term Unsecured CreditProducts ).
