    Senior Dev Ops Engineer Role

    We are seeking a seasoned Dev Ops Engineer to spearhead the modernization of our software development and release lifecycle processes, leveraging best practices in agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

    The successful candidate will work closely with ICT Management to:

    • Implement robust CI/CD pipelines and provide guidance on organizing, securing, and automating existing product development workflows.
    • Manage large technical aspects of projects or smaller engagements independently, utilizing business and technical skills under the guidance of ICT Management.
    • Deliver recommendations and technical implementations with cross-product integrations based on customer needs to ICT Management.
    • Collaborate with ICT and Business stakeholders to share best practices and improve processes.
    • Build relationships and become a trusted technical advisor, solving complex challenges and providing expert guidance.
    • Configure build infrastructure (Windows and Linux) according to policies and industry best practices, ensuring improved performance and efficiency.
    • Enhance reliability and performance of DevOps test and build processes through process improvements.
    • Design and maintain automated release channels suitable for AVBOB operations under ICT Management's guidance.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to automate installation and upkeep of build tools and dependencies.
    • Review and recommend solutions and tools to ICT Management to enhance the software development process.
    • Owning the process for releasing builds into QA and up to production.
    • Building, deploying, and maintaining production infrastructure and services in line with AVBOB approval processes.
    • Managing pre- and post-release code merges.
    • Managing code branching strategies.
    • Implementing automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
    • Establishing strong relationships between Engineering (Dev & QA) and IT Operations to embed DevOps processes and functions.

    Requirements for the Position:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
    • 8-10 years of experience in a related field.
    • 5 years of experience in a Release Manager role.
    • Knowledge of relevant Information Technology governance and legislative frameworks (such as COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, SDLC, SOA).
    • Project Management experience is an advantage.
    • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
