Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team at Brilliant Computers. As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services on the Microsoft Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Deploy Cloud Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including Azure App Services, Azure Networking, and Azure DevOps.
Manage Windows Server and SQL Server Environments: Manage Windows Server and SQL Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Deploy and Manage Linux Systems: Deploy and manage Ubuntu Linux systems, HAProxy, and IIS for web services.
Implement Monitoring Solutions: Implement monitoring solutions using New Relic and ensure system health and performance.
Develop Automation Scripts: Develop automation scripts using PowerShell to streamline infrastructure management.
Ensure Business Continuity: Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery strategies are in place and tested.
Troubleshoot System Performance Issues: Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement optimizations.
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to deliver high-availability and secure cloud solutions.
Document Azure Infrastructure: Support and maintain documentation for Azure infrastructure and best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or a similar role.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.

Skills Required:

Strong Azure Experience: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Azure Networking, and Azure DevOps.
Windows Server Expertise: Expertise in Windows Server, SQL Server (2019), and administration.
Linux and HAProxy Experience: Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu) and HAProxy for managing and load-balancing web services.
IIS Experience: Experience managing and configuring IIS (Internet Information Services) for web hosting.
PowerShell Proficiency: Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation.
Business Continuity Knowledge: Strong knowledge of business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
Monitoring Tools Experience: Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic for performance tracking and optimization.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Advantageous Qualifications:

Cloud Platform Experience: Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
Programming Language Proficiency: Proficiency in other programming/scripting languages, such as Python or Bash.
Kubernetes and Docker Experience: Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration.
Network Security Knowledge: Familiarity with network security and compliance standards such as GDPR and ISO 27001.
CI/CD Pipeline Knowledge: Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
High-Availability Architectures: Knowledge of high-availability architectures and load balancing strategies.
