Foundation Phase Afrikaans Teacher (Preparatory):


Uplands is a forward-thinking, innovative co-educational independent school located on a 110-hectare Estate in White River, Mpumalanga, that is committed to providing quality education to day and boarding scholars from Grade 0000 to 12.


Uplands Preparatory seeks to appoint a passionate Senior Phase Afrikaans Teacher (Preparatory), whose strengths will lie in good verbal and written communication as well as being an energetic, analytical and results-driven teacher.


The successful applicant will:


  • Possess suitable professional qualifications and be SACE registered.
  • Must have the ability to teach Afrikaans. (fluent in the language)
  • Having experience teaching in the foundation phase would have advantage.
  • Be innovative, embrace technology in the classroom and have a positive attitude along with genuine passion to make a difference in the pupil's lives.
  • Be willing to work as part of a team and assist with general duties as and when required.
  • Possess strong administrative skills, be fully computer literate as well as have excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Have sports coaching abilities as well as an interest in extracurricular activities.
Commencement date: 17 July 2023 (or sooner if available)
