    Key Responsibilities:

    • Define our Data Roadmap for Africa while aligning it with global trends and business goals.
    • Lead a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-notch tech products and analytics solutions.
    • Create, maintain, and optimize our data architecture ensuring reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Establish best practices for data governance while identifying and resolving any issues related to performance or integration.
    • Enhance scalability, reliability, and overall efficiency of database systems through innovative strategies.

    Requirements

    • A deep understanding of both relational and dimensional data modeling.
    • Strong problem-solving skills that allow you to navigate complexity with ease.
    • Extensive experience leading DevOps teams within the realm of Data Engineering.
    • Proven success in managing complex product lifecycles from inception through delivery.

    Your Background

    • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or Information Systems; advanced degrees preferred.
    • Proficiency in various database management systems like SQL or NoSQL along with familiarity using tools such as Erwin or IBM InfoSphere Data Architect.
    • Experience working with big data technologies including Hadoop or Spark is highly desirable.
