    Overview

    The Active Directory (AD) Customer Engineer plays a critical role in deploying, optimizing, and supporting AD and Azure AD initiatives for large-scale enterprises. This position involves working on complex enterprise environments, focusing on AD and Azure AD deployment, migration, and optimization, while also providing training and consultations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Technical Support & Optimization: Provide expert-level troubleshooting, advanced technical support, and problem resolution for AD and Azure AD environments. Conduct health checks, risk assessments, and product reviews to optimize system performance.
    • Deployment & Migration: Lead the deployment, upgrade, and migration of AD and Azure AD services, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud environments. Conduct post-implementation reviews of product deployments.
    • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Deliver workshops and whiteboard sessions on AD and Azure AD best practices. Educate customers on AD domain services, Group Policy configuration, and identity management solutions.
    • Security & Compliance: Implement AD security features, manage DNS and DHCP configurations, and ensure compliance with security policies. Perform risk assessments and audits to maintain security integrity.
    • Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Support and configure hybrid AD environments with Azure AD Connect, Azure AD Cloud Sync, and ADFS. Migrate from federated domains to managed domains.
    • Active Directory Expertise: Extensive knowledge of AD DS, domain controller replication, Group Policy configuration, ADCS, AD FS, and FSMO roles. Experience with troubleshooting AD-related issues such as replication, authentication, and DNS.
    • Azure AD & Hybrid Configurations: Expertise in Azure AD configuration, Azure AD Connect, hybrid configurations, and migration from ADFS to Azure AD. Understanding of cloud and federated authentication, Azure AD B2B collaboration, and Azure MFA.
    • Windows Server & Networking: Familiarity with Windows Server configurations, file services, and networking/firewall setups. Proficiency in managing identity and access solutions.
    • Security & Compliance: Knowledge of security best practices, disaster recovery strategies, and securing AD environments.
    • Certifications: Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300) and Azure certifications (AZ-104) preferred.

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of experience in Active Directory and Azure AD administration, migration, and optimization.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
    • Excellent communication skills to deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
    • Industry certifications such as SC-300 and AZ-104 are a plus.
