- Establish and coordinate computer aided design (CAD) & computer aided machining (CAM) and its applications, in order to provide the guidelines, technical details and ability to manufacture new or reproduce/modify components of press tools that is required for the production process in Press shop.
- Plan, investigate, analyse, advise, implement and improve existing and new production tooling.
- Facilitate new models and model changes throughout the product range in the Press Shop and Toolroom environment. This includes export projects within financial, timing and quality constraints and work towards Lean Manufacturing Systems as set by Board of Management.
- Keep abreast on future technologies and advise Planning Departments regarding new model introductions.
- Investigate, implement, assess, arrange, and carry out requested quality improvements, repairs and engineering change requests (ECR's) to production tooling, line facilities, and machinery required by production to achieve the quality targets and scheduled production volumes.
- Provide Production with technical support to develop and setup production processes and resolve production problems which could prevent the achievement of quality targets and scheduled production volumes in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- On a continuing basis identify improvement opportunities which will lead to productivity, efficiency and cost improvements.
- Project Management experience
- Knowledge of proficiency in CAD/CAM Programming (design, develop, manufacture, software utilization)
- Excellent high level of experience in programming off-line, Fanuc Controllers and Toolroom CNC machines.
- Good understanding of Quality tools e.g. SPC, FMEA, Fishbone Diagram, as well as capability studies
- Good understanding of Tooling Manufacturing Process
- Strong analytical and innovative approach to problem-solving

National Diploma or Degree in Engineering – (Electrical/ Mechanical)
Certification in CAD/CAM software
Experience needed
Minimum of 2-3 years Press Tool experience with CAD & CAM application.
