- Inventory Management: Complete management of engineering / mechanical workshop stores, including issuing, recording, controlling and returning stock items.
- Quantity Controls: Monitor and control inventory quantities to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Administration: Maintain accurate records and reports, including stock takes, counts and standby stock.
- Liaison with Suppliers: Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and equipment.
- Maintenance and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area, including shelving, bins and storage racks.
- Tertiary Education: Position-related tertiary qualification (adv) + Grade 12 (Matric)
- Experience: Min 3-5 years proven experience in a similar role as an engineering storeman.
- Industry Experience: Industry-related experience (Plant / Maintenance / Engineering / Production / Workshop) required.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel spreadsheet.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
