Engineering Storeman Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Storeman to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive package and opportunities for career growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Complete management of engineering / mechanical workshop stores, including issuing, recording, controlling and returning stock items.
• Quantity Controls: Monitor and control inventory quantities to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Administration: Maintain accurate records and reports, including stock takes, counts and standby stock.
• Liaison with Suppliers: Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and equipment.
• Maintenance and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area, including shelving, bins and storage racks.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Tertiary Education: Position-related tertiary qualification (adv) + Grade 12 (Matric)
• Experience: Min 3-5 years proven experience in a similar role as an engineering storeman.
• Industry Experience: Industry-related experience (Plant / Maintenance / Engineering / Production / Workshop) required.
• Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel spreadsheet.

Package and Remuneration: Market-related salary, TCTC available/negotiable, Overtime, Shift/Standby Allowance and Provident Fund.
