• Grade 12/ Matric
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years proven experience in the maintenance and mechanical industry
• Plan, prioritize, schedule and oversee maintenance duties according to best practices
• Regular communication with General Managers regarding requirements, planning and progress
• Increase the operational effectiveness, equipment availability and life cycle cost of machinery and
  equipment through preventative maintenance
• Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to
• Implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and checklists for operators
• Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also
  mentoring and leading the department
• Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on
  Maintenance activities
• Ensure that machinery and/ or equipment are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/ solutions
  when required
• Attend meetings and action/ communicate instructions
• Produce written reports to the General Manager in terms of maintenance actions and costs
• Troubleshooting and problem solving
• Provide technical expertise to the team
• Manage, coach and develop a high performing maintenance team that meets agreed objectives, and
  which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
• Perform minor maintenance work, including maintenance and repair of machinery, other mechanical
  equipment, gates, etc.
• Procurement of equipment and machinery according to company protocols
