Position Overview:
Are you an experienced professional in the field of steel procurement? Do you excel at sourcing high-quality materials for various sectors and have a comprehensive understanding of the commercial steel purchasing landscape?

About the Role:
Planned Talent Pty (Ltd) is representing a prominent multinational corporation recognized for its excellence in manufacturing superior goods and services globally. They are on the lookout for a skilled and knowledgeable Steel Buyer to become a vital part of their energetic procurement team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring a consistent and effective supply of steel and related products for multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will utilize their extensive industry expertise and connections to:

Source high-quality steel and steel products that align with specific requirements, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Establish and nurture robust relationships with suppliers.
Apply their knowledge of import regulations, documentation, and logistics to enhance the importing process and reduce delays.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in steel procurement across various industries.
A formal qualification in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management (SCM), or Engineering, ideally at least 3 years in duration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
A proven history of effective supplier relationship management and negotiation capabilities.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with internal teams and external suppliers.
