Production Planner Manufacturing

Durban - Kwa Zulu Natal - South Africa

Reporting to the Production Manager you will be responsible for the maintenance of the statistical database, collation of all production statistics and reports, and monitoring and reconciliation of all production stock including raw, WIP and finished goods.

ESSENTIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

National Diploma in Production/Industrial Management, Chemical Engineering discipline
2 years of supervisory, planning and production experience preferably in heavy engineering
Computer literate good knowledge of Excel, and SAP would be advantageous
Must be able to write and present reports

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Preparing all production reports and statistical information daily, monthly or yearly
Coordinating SAP reports and inputs for the entire production line
Ordering or purchasing all raw materials
Monitor daily variances between physical vs SAP
Daily stock count, monitoring and update of stock on the SOP file
Supplying plant production information on request by other branches and the company
Coordination of benchmarking information for a presentation at a technical meeting
Planning all production activities to meet production demands
Production budgets and costs reports including stock reconciliation
Be able to support the production shifts
