ROLE:


1. Logistics

  • Liaise with Sustain Solar network of logistics freight agents timeously to get quotes, shipping schedule and requirements depending on final site destination.
  • Compile all the required documents ahead of shipping which relate to (i) booking vessel, (ii) shipping inspection, (iii) loading and offloading of container at port and arrival at port of destination based on agreed incoterms with client, and (iv) documentation required by client's clearing agent for successful customs clearance.
  • Diligently file all documents in the respective folders.
  • Keep a log of common destination and update pricing accordingly to support the technical sales team.
  • Liaise with operations lead and project manager to ensure all potential delays and/or shipping risks are identified and mitigated acoordingly.
  • Keep up to date with shipping requirements and industry development to inform requirements for Sustain Solar.

2. Procurement

  • Liaise with Sustain Solar and Sustain Storage network of suppliers based on technical requirements from the project team to confirm (i) stock availability and lead times, and (ii) price. Maintain uptodate costing of key equipment (e.g. inverters, cables, batteries, switchgear, logistics) with the technical sales team.
  • Maintain project payment schedule and with the project delivery team ensure required payments are communicated with the finance team.
  • Diligently document all procurement related files (i.e. Purchase orders, quotes, invoices, statements,etc.).
  • Liaise with suppliers to arrange timely delivery of equipment to workshop in line with manufacturing schedule

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS OR COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • National Diploma / Btech and/or Bachelor degree in logistics or related field,
  • 12 years experience in a logistics or an administrative role (either as a project coordinator and/or in procurement),
  • Valid driver's license,
  • MS Office proficient,
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English,
  • Strong interpersonal skills,
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills, and
  • Possess good work ethic with attention to details, and
