The Regulatory Assurance Lead will take responsibility of the delivery of the annual monitoring plan by undertaking FCA related monitoring reviews and health checks across all financial services campaigns.

Reporting to the UK Regulatory Compliance Manager, the role will lead the Regulatory Assurance Team in South Africa on site and will be expected to work closely with all areas of the business, promoting a positive compliance culture.


The principal responsibility of the Regulatory Assurance Lead is to ensure the delivery of service for Teleperformance, its clients and their customers to ensure compliance with FCA regulatory standards and meets contractual requirements.


The role holder will ensure delivery of the monitoring plan ensuring that the Regulatory Assurance team produce comprehensive reports and support the delivery of the relevant governance forums.

They may from time to time be asked to support other areas of the Privacy Risk and Compliance function.


Key Responsibilities

  • To be first point of contact for FCA regulatory compliance queries and to liaise with client services and other stakeholders to resolve regulatory issues.
  • Works closely with Operational partners and stakeholders to ensure all compliance metrics are being met.
  • Undertake regulatory assurance monitoring reviews and health checks in accordance with the Annual Monitoring Plan
  • Ensure the preparation of detailed reports on issues found and obtain agreement from management and stakeholders on action plans and timeframes to resolve.
  • Be an advocate for increasing regulatory compliance awareness and work with the UK
  • Support wider Regulatory Training and Horizon Scanning and creating educational communications based on the monitoring conducted by the Regulatory Assurance Team.
  • Support the Regulatory Compliance Manager to continually increase awareness across the business.
  • Support the wider Privacy Risk & Compliance Function.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the UK Regulatory Compliance Manager.
  • To be visible on site in South Africa.

Knowledge and qualifications

  • At least 2 years' experience of working with or in a Compliance, Risk or Quality role within financial services.
  • Minimum 12 months line management experience.
  • Awareness of FCA Regulations.
  • Quality or Compliance monitoring experience.
  • Strong people management experience.
