- Adding and terminating employees on the payroll system (Sage VIP).
- Maintaining employee details.
- Capturing monthly payroll.
- Maintaining employee hard files and backup files in OneDrive.
- Loading net salary payments onto the bank accurately and on time.
- Generating and submitting statutory reports (EMP201/UIF declaration) by the 25th of each month.
- Issuing payslips via email or hard copy.

- Assisting in hiring skilled electricians, solar technicians, engineers, and administrative staff.
- Managing onboarding processes, ensuring employees receive safety and compliance training as required.
- Verifying and maintaining copies of trade certifications, qualifications, and professional registrations of relevant employees.
- Training & Development
- Coordinating training on electrical safety, solar installation best practices, and compliance or other department-specific training.
- Maintaining Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and SETA submissions.
- Identifying employee skills gaps and recommending relevant upskilling opportunities.
- Health & Safety Compliance
- Supporting compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA).
- Tracking injury-on-duty cases and liaising with the Compensation Fund.
- Ensuring field teams have required PPE and adhere to site safety protocols.

- Fostering a positive work culture across office, warehouse, and site teams.

Main Job Function
The HR/Payroll Administrator will ensure the smooth running of the company's Human Resource function, ensuring all HR-related administration is completed diligently, accurately and all records are up to date. The position will also oversee the payroll function with all monthly inputs performed by the position on the company's payroll software. In addition, the position will assist with the managing of the CEO's diary.
