    Logistics Coordinator Role

    We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to oversee the smooth and efficient movement of goods throughout our supply chain in the City Deep area, Johannesburg South.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Requirements:
    • MATRIC CERTIFICATE (Minimum)
    • Degree in Logistics is an advantage
    • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in the food industry
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
    • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management
    • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office)

    Duties (Not limited to):

    • Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods from our facilities to customers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers, negotiating rates and contracts to optimize cost-effectiveness and service quality
    • Track and monitor inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and timely replenishment to meet production and customer demands as well as full stock control function
    • Collaborate with internal departments, such as procurement, production, and sales, to ensure effective communication and alignment of logistics activities with overall business objectives
    • Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings
    • FOLLOW ALL ASPECTS OF HACCP; SAFETY; QUALITY, LEGALITY, AND ASPECTS RELATED TO AUTHENTICITY IN THE DEPARTMENT
    • Any other support as per business demands
