    Job Title: Plant Operator

    We are seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team at Express Employment Professionals (Witbank). The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the plant safely and efficiently to produce high-quality chrome.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Attend daily safety meetings to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Comply with all company policies and procedures to maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent downtime and damage to equipment.
    • Monitor and report plant performance metrics to the control room.
    • Identify and report any potential hazards or risks to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Collaborate with the control room to ensure smooth plant operations.
    • Participate in risk assessments and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents.
    • Perform handovers at the end of each shift to ensure a smooth transition.

    Requirements:

    • At least 2 years of experience as a Plant Operator in the mining industry.
    • Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act and Mining Regulations.
    • Grade 12 (preferably) or equivalent qualification.
    • Completion of in-house courses or on-the-job training (preferably).
