As a
Learning and Development Officer you are to design, implement and deliver the required skills and knowledge training programmes within the organisation as determined by the strategic plan to ensure delivery of the business objectives and priorities requirements.
Learning and Development Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Learning and Development (L&D) initiatives that support the HR Strategy
Identify training and development needs within the organisation through job analysis, Training Needs Analysis, Skills Matrices and regular consultation with managers and the Human Resources department.
Organise regular training meetings with the HOD to identify training needs within the respective departments and Business.
Design, expand and develop training and programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual.
Create and/or deliver a range of training using face-to-face, digital and blended learning systems.
Produce training material for in-house courses. Soft Skills and Awareness Courses.
Plan and assess the return of investment of any training or development programme, considering the costs of planned programmes and keeping within budgets.
Coach, advise and provide tools to leaders to successfully lead change in their environment.
Monitor and review the progress of training through appraisals, questionnaires and discussions with managers and provide trainees with timely and constructive feedback.
Amend and revise programmes as necessary in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment and industry developments.
Help Line Managers and trainers solve specific training problems.
Selection and TTT with floor trainers to ensure training delivery standards are maintained.
Manage external training providers within organisation budgets and technical requirements.
Head & Safety and EE
Assist with the collation and submission of the Employment Equity Process.
Comply with H&S Act.
Reporting and record-keeping
Have an in-depth, accurate and up-to-date knowledge of the Employment Equity Act
Assist with EE Committees and the submission of EE reporting.
Equity Act (EEA), Skills Development and Levies Act (SDA, SDLA)
WSP/ATR is recorded accurately and submitted on time.
Reports are submitted within defined timelines.
Collation of all training stats for reporting purposes.
Essential Requirements
- Grade 1
- NQF Level 6 Diploma / Advance certificate in related field
- 2 Year Experience in related field
- Working knowledge of WSP/ATR
- Advanced knowledge: HR/L&D
- Report Writing: Advanced
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office packages.
