    Job Title: Fundraising and Marketing Manager

    This position supports the overall fundraising strategy by executing and monitoring fundraising efforts, collaborating with executive management to conceptualize and implement stewardship strategies for all donors.

    The role involves managing day-to-day fundraising operations, ensuring sustainability and visibility of our work. We are looking for a highly skilled professional to lead and manage our fundraising and marketing division.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Manage and diversify current fundraising strategies, ensuring effective utilization of Salesforce to maximize income and loyalty.
    • Analyze fundraising programs and trends for effective investment across all channels.
    • Draft and coordinate funding proposals nationally and internationally.
    • Lead and facilitate proposal development and writing process.
    • Collaborate with executive management to identify fundraising/business development opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential donors.
    • Identify new fundraising opportunities and assess their viability.
    • Ensure timely production and submission of high-quality proposals to potential donors.
    • Foster relationships with prospective and existing donors through regular meetings.

    PR and Marketing:

    • Develop and update marketing material to ensure it is relevant and engaging.
    • Manage major marketing and fundraising events to promote our brand and raise awareness.
    • Identify networking opportunities through events and conferences.
    • Generate relevant content and optimize social media and online channels for Sappi.
    • Explore partnership opportunities to enhance brand awareness.

    Donor Management and Relationships:

    • Nurture donor relationships and identify prospective donors.
    • Develop and implement donor engagement and communication strategies.
    • Provide signed donor SLA for compliance monitoring.
    • Lead donor engagement and communication during the SLA period.
    • Maintain constant communication with donors through a quarterly newsletter.

    Budgeting and Planning:

    • Plan and develop fundraising business plans for accurate budgeting.
    • Set clear fundraising targets for the division and team members.
    • Monitor progress and provide feedback to executive management.
    • Use up-to-date information for budgeting and proposal submissions.
    • Produce monthly income forecasts with the Finance Manager.

    Desired Experience & Qualification:

    • Fundraising and marketing expertise.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Advanced writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
    • Monitoring and evaluation knowledge.
    • Understanding of Salesforce or database systems.
    • Driver's license and own transport.

    Requirements:

    • Matric certificate.
    • Degree or equivalent in marketing, development finance, fundraising, sales, or PR.
    • At least 7 years' experience in NGO/NPO fundraising and marketing, with 3 years at the management level.
