The Role

You will be responsible for :

• Managing the GL reporting and processing of journals.
• Maintaining fixed assets register.
• Liaising with AR/AP teams on month-end closing activities.
• Timely and accurate month end closing and monthly reporting.
• Monthly and bi-monthly VAT returns and submissions
• VAT reconciliation
• Financial Statements
• Prepare monthly schedules of figures for management accounts
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

Ideal Profile

• You have at least 2 years experience within a Accountant role.
• You have working knowledge of SAIPA, SAGE 3, OFFICE 365, Excel, Athena, VAT and Financial Statements
• You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders
• You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
• You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
• Matric / NQF level 4 with subjects in Accounting (C or higher)
• BCom Degree or Diploma in Accounting or similar
• SAIPA Articles completed
• Proficient in both English and Afrikaans
• Own reliable transport
• Based in the Paarl or surrounding area
