    About the Role

    This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced internal auditor to take on new challenges and responsibilities. As a Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting internal audits from planning to finalization, identifying weaknesses in our internal control environment, and making recommendations for improvement. You will also monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

    In addition to your technical skills and experience, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management at all levels.

    The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of completed articles in internal auditing or external auditing, with a valid, unendorsed driver's license and own reliable transport. A keen interest in the internal auditing profession and registration with the Institute of Internal Auditors would be beneficial.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct internal audits from planning to finalization within the required timeframe.
    • Identify and report on weaknesses in the company's internal control environment.
    • Makes recommendations for the improvement of any control weaknesses.
    • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
    • Conduct follow-up audits and ad-hoc investigations.
    • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
    • Compile weekly audit reports based on audit findings.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A relevant internal audit or accounting qualification with auditing as a major at a tertiary level.
    • A minimum of 3 years of completed articles in internal auditing or external auditing, one year post-articles experience in a manufacturing environment would be an added advantage.
    • A valid, unendorsed driver's license and own reliable transport.
    • Registration with the Institute of Internal Auditors and a keen interest in the internal auditing profession would be beneficial.

    Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
