Description

Host Agents is an established short-term rental agency with its head office in Cape Town. Our proactive and dynamic team manages a growing portfolio of short-term holiday rentals around South Africa.

We would like to welcome an experienced Host to join our growing team with the purpose of managing our Cape Town property portfolio, maximizing income, securing tenant retention and overseeing the overall maintenance of each property.

This position will be ideally suited to someone with great time management, excellent people skills and a strong attention to detail.

Duties Include

Ensuring that the Cape Town and surrounds operations are in line with the company's national benchmarks.
Independently ensuring the fulfilment of core services, such as cleaning, linen delivery, completing a prearrival checklist, and ensuring that guest checkin / checkouts are handled professionally, on time and with a positive attitude.
Maintaining various properties by investigating and resolving tenant complaints, enforcing rules of occupancy, inspecting vacant units and completing repairs as necessary.
Maintaining building systems by contracting for maintenance services and supervising repairs.
Embedding the company's customer promise throughout the host cycle on behalf of Host Agents.
Documenting and completing tasks outlined on our online Staff App.
Assisting with troubleshooting issues when needed.
A minimum of 2 years experience as a Host or a similar role.
Excelled in an operational capacity at a high growth startup or scaleup, preferably one that deals with 'realworld' (vs online only) operations.
A track record of being an operational problem solver.
A drive to inspire and motivate a team built on people management experience.
Strong customer service management experience.
A history of using data to analyze and evaluate when making decisions.
An indepth knowledge of Cape Town and surrounds would be a nice extra.
Their own reliable transport and preferably reside in the Cape Town area.
Matric is essential, and a hospitality qualification would be advantageous.
Strong communication skills and be well presented at all times.
