Description

Previously known as Praekelt Consulting, we've spent the last twenty years creating best-across-class intelligent products and services that have helped our clients connect, converse with and convert over 500 million users, across multiple markets, channels and languages.

We are looking for an experienced and talented copywriter (CW) to write clear and concise copy for marketing and advertising communications across our digital touch-points.

You will collaborate closely with your creative director and creative team to develop compelling messaging that informs and engages our intended target audiences.

You will also be required to conduct research to develop content that accurately reflects the product and company ideals, aligned to the tone of voice and integrated campaign messaging.

Participate in studio discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings
Collaborate with brand and marketing agencies to align on digital objectives and ensure brand continuity across channels
Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
Meeting with stakeholders to better deliver on the requirements and core messages
Familiarising themselves with the product, target audience and competitor activities in the market
Brainstorming ideas and concepts for the visual and words with other members of the creative team
Present ideas to the creative director for review and work together with the team to further develop approved concepts through an iterative process
Development of presentation collateral to sell and bring ideas to life
Where necessary, be involved in the production phase by overseeing and collaborating with motion graphics designers, illustrators, photographers and production companies
Utilise industry best practices and familiarity with the organisation's shared purpose to inspire ideas and content
Monitor and analyse the performance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to offer suggestions for improvement
Use search engine optimisation (SEO) strategies in writing to maximise the online visibility of a website in search results
Present and defend content decisions in key milestone reviews with peers and executive level stakeholders
Establish and promote copy guidelines, best practices and standards


Required:

Proven digital copywriting skills
Be highly creative and imaginative — and curious about our products or services and the triggers that motivate our target audiences
Understand the language styles and tactics that appeal to various target markets
Work well in a team and with a range of creative people
Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with stakeholders, colleagues, and management to develop ideas and communication solutions
Be able to work under pressure across multiple projects simultaneously and manage workloads effectively
Highly self-motivated and well organised
Presentation skills to clearly and effectively communicate ideas to our various stakeholders
Impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions
Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
Strict adherence to the established style guides and nuances of different product portfolios
Proficiency with writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote
Familiarity with the company's brand image, products, and services
Ability to develop, test and iterate on copy requirements quickly
Passionate about developing compelling compelling customer-centric communications through conceptual ideation, communication and design excellence
