Description

The primary responsibility of this role are: PMO & Supporting Services Manager will be responsible to handle and prioritise all demand from the business.

This may include new requirements and/or enhancements. Other responsibilities will be capital planning, business requirements, IT governance and risk mitigation. Will also be responsible to engage with other IT functional heads as business HODs to deliver on projects.

People Management:
The management of people within his/her functional responsibility in order to achieve the outcomes of the function. This includes service providers.


Project Management:

Standards & Processes:
Defining standards and usage rules for solutions within business process(es). And the implementation of Processes and Procedures for IT project management

Demand Management:
Management of business requirement and analysis.

Strategies:
work is not limited to the inner workings of the IT department.

To collaborate with colleagues and department heads in order to develop strategies which will help the IT department better align itself with the company's overall financial and corporate strategy.

Technology Introduction:
Identifying and evaluating new products and benchmarks for information and Automation solutions supporting respective business process(es)


Primary Duties

  • Manage the project management office
  • Analyse business ideas, translate them into Business and functional requirements
  • Act as an intermediary between technical developers and the end user
  • Business & System Analysis functions
  • Plan & Prioritize work activities
  • Monitoring and controlling project performance.
  • Development of project management competencies and methodologies.
  • Multi-project management.
  • Strategic management.
  • Organizational learning.
  • Execute specialized tasks for project managers.
  • Manage business interfaces.
  • Project Management (Deliver on business demand and requirements)
  • Costing & Financial Management within the project
  • Manage & develop project management controls
  • Manage & develop IT standards
  • Project Governance
  • To manage the company's overall IT strategy and journey map (consolidate from other IT Functional heads)
  • To provide technical expertise to projects throughout the implementation of projects, including tendering, implementation etc.
  • Managing the IT team that resides within the PMO office
  • Implement Processes and Procedures for IT PMO function and to support other IT functional heads in terms of processes and procedures
  • Collaborate and support the other functional departments within the IT department
