My client in the short-term insurance space is in the market for a newly qualified CA(SA) dedicated to excellence and innovation.

As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in upholding financial integrity and propelling strategic endeavors alongside the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).


Key Duties:

  • Lead the preparation and supervision of financial reports to ensure compliance with IFRS 17 and other applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with the CFO in strategic planning, financial forecasting, and budget oversight.
  • Conduct insightful analysis and reporting on financial performance, recognizing trends and proposing enhancements.
  • Manage the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions.
  • Spearhead the implementation and oversight of IFRS 17, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory modifications to maintain Key Duties's financial practices.

Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Recently qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA).
  • Proficiency in implementing IFRS 1
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problemsolving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates integrity and professionalism.
