Job Advert Summary:

Opti Hatchery is looking for a suitable qualified Artisan (Electrician) to join the Agri Team within the maintenance department.

The goal is to ensure all support activities are carried out effeciently and effectively to allow the Hatchery operations to fucntion properly.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 1
Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal)
Experience as an Electrician in a Poultry Hartchery environment will be an added advantage
Drivers License and own transport
Possess strong electrical abilities
Familiarity management principles and job cards systems
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring or fixtures.
Monitor and check setters and hatchers for proper operations.
Monitor and check ventilation (heaters, coolers and inside room conditions)
Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on hatchery equipment.
Prompt repair of machinery in the hatchery that could negatively affect production.
Attends to all electrical faults on hatchery setter and incubators machines
Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and need for adjustment or repair and ensure compliance
Conducting maintenance stock take of spares and ensuring there is enough stock on hand.
All work carried out should be in compliance with biosecurity as well as Health & Safety rules and regulations.
