Job description


The Product Team is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join their team to manage all elements of the product development lifecycle.

The role of the Product Manager is to assist the business in achieving their goals through taking relevant products/functionality to market on mobile and web platforms.

The Product Manager must ensure the product meets the needs of the end-users; is user-friendly and achieves the business's goals.

The Product Manager is ultimately responsible for the product's success.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Strategy or Business
2. 5+ years experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or similar role


  • Proven work experience delivering product features using Agile methodology
  • Experience in Financial Services sector will be advantageous
  • Experience in marketing will be advantageous
  • Experience working with data will be advantageous

Responsibilities:


  • Understand the business's goals; metrics of success and strategy
  • Understand the business's value proposition; current product's and capabilities
  • Understand the customer segments (Current and target) including their needs; desires; challenges; behaviours; buying process; experiences; priorities; values; preferences; beliefs; perceptions; and current product usage
  • Develop the product strategy which includes the vision for the product; the metrics of success; the roadmap; and gotomarket strategy
  • Create and prioritise the feature backlog based on new features; product improvements; bugs; design debt; and tech debt.
  • Conduct research to understand the market and the competitors to inform a SWOT analysis
  • Source and analyse data and trends regarding customer's product use and behaviours as well as customer sentiment and feedback on current features
  • Define a business case for partnership opportunities and new features to ensure a strong ROI
  • Articulate and manage feature scope and articulate the Minimal Viable Product
  • Collect feature requirements from various stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, internal departments, partners and 3rd parties
  • Stakeholder management to obtain buyin and provide progress updates of work underway; issues; risks; assumptions; dependencies; and expected delivery dates

  • Gather and document the various user journeys; scenarios and error states that could occur
  • Work closely with UX designers to create UI designs that meet the user's needs and provide an excellent user experience
  • Oversee product development to ensure that the product is developed according to the defined requirements and timeline
  • Test the feature before golive to ensure the product meets the requirements and quality standards
  • Enable the Support team to support the new feature through the creation of training material; FAQ guides; and defining the metrics to track performance against
  • Enable the Sales team to support the new feature through the provision of training material and product guides
  • Work with the marketing team to develop gotomarket plans
  • Monitor the feature in production to assess feature uptake; user satisfaction; and to identify any issues or areas for improvement
