Job tasks
Your main responsibility will be to deliver on the business objectives in your territory.

Using your expertise and knowledge in channel management, you will be growing and expanding the business with your channel partners (2-tier).

It will be your responsibility to prioritize your accounts and allocate the attention given such that the business potential of the portfolio is maximized.


Your workplace is homebased if not in Johannesburg, and you will be reporting to the Sales Manager Africa (Johannesburg Office).


The role will also include

  • Promoting and marketing Milestone System products and services within the assigned territory
  • Building, driving, and deepening the relations with both Systems Integrators and Distributors
  • Lead, coach and influence the strategies of the key partners to keep them focused on shortterm to longterm sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Drive the commercial and technical discussions with consultants and end users to develop the right proposition
  • Engaging and working with large end users
  • Reporting and documentation in CRM management tools such as SalesForce
  • Be liaison for the territory to the rest of the organization and vice versa
  • Owning the budget for your dedicated partners
  • Forecasting and planning on a monthly base
  • Working with Marketing for necessary marketing material and event planning.
  • Representing Milestone at various events, seminars, and exhibitions
The job requires travelling in the territory and sometimes abroad to other Milestone offices.


Professional qualifications

  • Higher Education preferably with commercial focus and exposure to technical fields
  • Minimum of 7 years work experience, preferably in the security industry, with a proven track record
  • Proven business development, sales record and revenue growth driver skills
  • Competent IT technical skills
  • Fundamental commercial and technical knowledge of IT software and/or hardware
  • A goal oriented, sales focused and selfconfident profile
  • Willingness to travel, work independently and closely monitor own goals
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Ability to uphold organizational values and high moral standards
  • Experience with Salesforce is an advantage
  • Higher Education preferably with commercial focus and exposure to technical fields
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English. Other language skills are a plus
