Cotton Traders specialize in down and feather inners as well as fine bed linen.

In order to support the growth and expansion of our organization, we are in search of a
Sewing Machine Mechanic to assist in ensuring the business operates at an optimum level.

Responsibilities:

• Perform machine setups, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, undertake repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Training of sewing machine operators in the proper setup and operation of machines when required.
• Keep updated and accurate records of all machine breakdowns and repairs undertaken as well as servicing or preventative maintenance performed.
• Comply with all health and safety rules and regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.

Requirements:

years' experience in repairing the following types of machinery:

• Plain machines
• Computerized plain machines
• Twoneedle machines
• Zigzag machines
• Overlockers
• Singleneedle quilting machines
• Experience with general têxtile factory equipment.
• Experience within the têxtile and / or clothing manufacturing industry.
• Technical and mechanical aptitude
• Excellent time management skills.
• The ability to work in a pressurized, high volume environment.
• Adaptability in a constant changing environment.
• Basic numerical skills.
