Job Title: Factory Manager - Wood Industry (Eucalyptus Curry Wood)

Responsibilities:

Production Oversight: Manage and coordinate eucalyptus wood processing from raw material sourcing to finished product. Implement and oversee production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize machine utilization.

Quality Control: Ensure all eucalyptus wood products meet specifications, including moisture content, strength, and surface finish. Conduct regular inspections of the production process to maintain high quality standards.

Resource Management: Oversee procurement and inventory of raw eucalyptus wood, chemicals, and other materials. Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure consistent supply.

Team Leadership: Lead a team of supervisors, machine operators, and technicians. Provide training and ensure all team members adhere to safety and operational protocols.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the factory complies with all safety regulations, especially regarding handling of Eucalyptus curry wood. Implement safety programs and conduct regular audits.

Cost Management: Control the budget for raw materials, labor, and machine maintenance. Identify areas for cost reduction without compromising quality.

Process Optimization: Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements. Utilize lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to increase productivity and reduce waste.

Sustainability: Ensure the factory complies with environmental regulations, particularly in relation to sustainable sourcing and processing of eucalyptus wood. Work on reducing the environmental footprint of wood processing operations, like minimizing waste and water usage.

Equipment & Maintenance: Ensure regular maintenance of machinery and equipment used in eucalyptus wood processing. Plan for upgrades or replacements as necessary to maintain efficiency and safety.

Client and Vendor Relations: Liaise with clients to understand their eucalyptus wood product requirements and ensure timely delivery. Maintain strong communication channels with vendors for raw materials and machinery supplies.

Qualifications & Skills: Education: Degree in industrial engineering, wood technology, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years in wood processing, with significant exposure to Eucalyptus curry wood or similar hardwoods. Leadership: Proven experience managing teams and production facilities. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of wood processing machinery and techniques, particularly those for eucalyptus wood. Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement timely solutions. Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the wood industry.
