Role Software Testers
- Technical Specialism
- The specialism can be any area of information or communication technology, technique, method,
- Business Process Testing
- Specifies and develops test scenarios to test that new/updated processes deliver improved ways
- Records and analyses test results and reports any unexpected or unsatisfactory outcomes.
- Uses test plans and outcomes to specify user instructions.
Testing
- Ability to analyse and translate Business Requirements into Test Scenarios
- Accepts responsibility for creation of test cases using own indepth technical analysis of both functional and nonfunctional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency and usability)
- Creates traceability records, from test cases back to requirements.
- Produces test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or
- Specifies requirements for environment, data, resources and tools.
- Interprets, executes and documents complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards.
- Records and analyses actions and results, and maintains a defect register.
- Reviews test results and modifies tests if necessary.
- Provides reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project.
- Reports on system quality and collects metrics on test cases.
- Provides specialist advice to support others.
- Perform Peer to Peer reviews of test cases
- Coordinate and schedule testing activities required by external parties.
- User Experience Design
- Collaborates with colleagues from other disciplines to define technology objectives, assess solution
Operational requirements.
- Tests developing systems to ensure compatibility with user requirements, tasks and environment, as defined in agreed specifications.
- Checks systems in use for changes in organisational, user, other stakeholder, and usability needs and to ensure that these needs continue to be met.
- Assesses the stability of requirements against changes in context of use.
- User Experience Evaluation
- Engages with project management to confirm that products developed meet the service acceptance criteria and are to the required standard.
- Feeds into change management processes.
- Service Acceptance
- Assesses and analyses release components.
- Ensures release processes and procedures are maintained.
- Release and Deployment
- Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services
- Determines problem fixes/remedies.
- Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
- Problem Management
- Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution.
- Escalates unresolved incidents.
- Documents and closes resolved incidents per agreed procedures.
- Uses quality management models and techniques to identify areas for improvement.
- Determines corrective action to reduce errors and improve the quality of the system and services.

Salary:
R32 000,00 per month
Experience:
- postman api: 4 years (preferred)
