    Job Overview:

    The primary objective of this position is to evaluate, monitor, and manage market risk exposures in accordance with the organization's risk appetite.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyse and assess financial, market, and business data to report on market risks, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate effective management of foreign exchange, gold, and other fixed-income reserve portfolios.
    • Develop, prepare, and coordinate comprehensive risk reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, highlighting the impact of market risk measures on the organization's investments.
    • Design and recommend strategies for managing market risk within investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with the organization's risk tolerance.
    • Conduct thorough research on market risk developments, making informed recommendations to drive business growth.
    • Promote the development and implementation of market risk models to calculate risks associated with portfolios and specific trades or strategies.
    • Contribute to the formulation of market risk-related policies and ensure their effective implementation across the organization.
    • Coordinate deliverables from team members for projects and reporting tasks, fostering collaboration and driving results.
    • Participate in cross-functional activities to align and harmonize risk-related information, promoting transparency and accountability.
    • Nurture relationships with financial market experts, leveraging their expertise to drive business success.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to analysts within the division, supporting their professional development and growth.
    • Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
    • Establish and maintain procedure manuals for operational purposes, ensuring adherence to all operational protocols and standards.

    Requirements:

    • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Investment Management, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • A minimum of five years' experience in market risk management and various aspects of financial analysis.

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

    • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Professional Risk Management (PRM), or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification.
    • Project management skills, enabling effective coordination and delivery of projects.
    • Knowledge of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investment processes, promoting sustainable business practices.

    Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
