    Description
    The Country Manager will be responsible for overseeing all mining activities within Kalahari Battery Metals (Tanzania) Ltd. This successful individual will provide strategic direction, technical expertise, and leadership to the operations and project
    teams, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the operations and projects.


    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement mining strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize productivity and safety within KBM(T) operations and projects.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the operational teams, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Collaborate with other departments to develop integrated operational solutions that enable the achievement of business targets.
    • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team within Tanzania providing mentorship, coaching, and performance evaluation.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and recommend appropriate actions.
    • Manage and control the general business budget, ensuring costeffective utilization of resources.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and suppliers, to enhance the company's reputation and operational efficiency.
    • Monitor technological advancements and identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
    • Continuously promote and enforce safety protocols and standards, ensuring compliance and a strong safety culture across engineering activities

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree or national higher diploma in engineering (mining, mechanical, electrical, or metallurgical). A master's degree will be an added advantage.
    • Registration with a recognized professional body for mining engineers.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing mining operations or beneficiation plants.
    • Proven experience in developing and implementing mining strategies and best practices.
    • Indepth knowledge of mining regulatory requirements and standards.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence a diverse team.
    • Proficient in the use software and tools for design, analysis, and optimization.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders, including operational and maintenance teams.
    • High level of integrity and commitment to safety
    • Willing to engage into an expatriate contract with rotational time off
