Our Client in the
Airport Industria urgently requires a Revenue Manager

In this role you'll spend a lot of time analyzing trends in the hotel industry.

In short, you'll be tracking the bedroom and conference space rates offered by your competitors, and making sure you sell your own rooms at the right price and the right time to the right people.

You'll also need to maintain parity with room rates offered by online booking companies and be poised to spot peaks and troughs in the market.

Implement Revenue management processes in order to maximize revenue.

Collect the necessary information to establish a database of bookings and events on which the hotel strategy and forecast will be based.


SPECIFIC DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Key Indicators of Success
1.1. Analyzing booking patterns and market trends

1.2. Monitoring competitor performance

1.3. Effective yield management

1.4. Initiating promotions to generate business at key times

1.5. Forecasting revenue performance

1.6. Liaising with the sales team, reception and the general manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
2.1 Highly developed interpersonal, adaptive influencing and managerial skills.

2.2 Sound ability and knowledge to develop robust business processes.

2.3 Good analytical and numeric skills.

2.4 Well organized and priority focused.

2.5 Highly Computer Literate.

2.6 Ability to work under own initiative in a highly pressured environment.

2.7 Good listening skills and the ability to anticipate business needs.

2.8 Able to develop relationships with 3rd parties and the hotel teams.

2.9 Capacity to read situations and respond accordingly.

2.10 To ensure that all target market segments are developed for the long-term benefit of the hotel's business.

2.11 To monitor in statistical format, the pick-up patterns, lead times and business trends.

2.12 To work with the team to promote internal sales and the up selling of all facilities.

2.13 To ensure that the Daily Selling Strategy is completed and checked before the morning meeting.


2.14 To be fully involved in the production of the business mix reports for the weekly rooms meeting, the monthly business meeting and the annual budgeting meetings.

2.15 Carry out regular Departmental meetings with your team to discuss and resolve any issues that may arise.

Grade 12, tertiary qualification in Hotel Management or proven track record of having received on-job training.


Salary:
Up to R30,000.00 per month
