Description
An energetic & creative project assistant required for a Sandton based corporate. The assistant will report into the Project Manager. A Flair for fabrics, colours and design an advantage


Main Areas of Responsibility:

To be involved in any activity, as directed by the Project Manager, with particular emphasis as noted below:

  • Work on Projects under various Companies within the Group
  • Make up files per individual apartments or other
  • Update cost schedules with actual amounts to orders as per Invoices from suppliers - ensuring originals sent to Head Office accounts
  • Reconcile payments in and payments out
  • Reconcile cost schedules with accounts paid [ledgers on each apartment]
  • Maintenance to provide costs for repairs, etc. to internal hard finishes Invoices by Maintenance
  • Follow up on orders / suppliers as required
  • Follow up on payments - ensure payment requests reach Head Office on Tuesday for payments processed on Thursday for release on Fridays
  • Fabric selections pasted on boards to be filed
  • Filing / Archiving
  • Sort out Fabric Room - Organisation of fabrics / samples / etc.
  • Liaise with Hotel Staff - GM, Housekeeping, Deputy GM, Access Controller, Security, Lift Access Key Holder
  • Liaise with Maintenance
  • Liaise with suppliers/deliveries
  • Accepting in-coming deliveries and organising delivery to specific apartments or warehouse, as required on each contract
  • Supervise unpacking and setting out of furniture, etc.
  • Furniture, Fittings and Fabric, etc. research
  • Inventories in conjunction with Kitchen Item supplier and Head of Housekeeping
Confirm payments received by LLP as per Head Office Accounts


  • Write out orders - scanning and sending to suppliers and accounts department with quotes / invoices
  • Calculations as per income per apartment to ensure payments received or partial payments paid prior to expenditure
  • Recording all 'sales' and maintaining master list re: orders, income and expenditure
  • Recording apartments furnished and noted as Rental Pool apartments or private owner residential apartments or other
  • Attending meetings, as and when required
  • Prepared to travel out of town - own transport essential

Salary:
R25,000.00 per month

Education:


  • Diploma (preferred)

Experience:


  • AutoCAD software: 3 years (preferred)
- project assistant: 4 years (preferred)

  • BASIC bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • SA ID (preferred)
