**Position: Cleaning Services Foreman

  • 276S**Waste Want Management (PTY) Ltd is looking for cleaning services foreman for city buildings, as cleaning services foreman you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the cleaning operations within municipal facilities. Your primary focus will be on coordinating and supervising cleaning staff and supervisors to ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for both employees and the public. This role requires a handson approach, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Your primary duties include:

Supervision and Leadership.

  • Lead and manage a team of cleaning staff and supervisors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to staff for optimal performance.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Scheduling and Resource Management

  • Develop and maintain cleaning schedules to ensure that all areas are cleaned efficiently and on time.
  • Manage staffing levels and allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands.
  • Coordinate with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations.

Quality Control.

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleaning standards are met or exceeded.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to address deficiencies promptly.
  • Collaborate with cleaning staff to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Inventory and supplies Management.

  • Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure an adequate supply of cleaning materials.
  • Implement costeffective measures for inventory control.

Health and safety Compliance.

  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions for cleaning staff.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents promptly.

Client Communication.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with city officials, building occupants, and other stakeholders.
  • Address client concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.

Field Operations and Driving.

  • Conduct regular site visits to various city buildings to oversee cleaning operations.
  • Drive to different locations to assess cleaning needs, provide support, and ensure consistency in service delivery.
  • Coordinate with cleaning staff deployed across multiple sites.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Grade 12 or equivalent previous experience in a similar position will be taken into consideration.
  • Code B drivers' licence.
  • Certification in cleaning management or related field is advantageous.

Skills & competencies.

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the cleaning services industry.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on operational needs.
  • Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel to different locations regularly.

R7 500,00 per month
